    A Hip-Hop band rehearsing, a young student practicing piano scales, or a group of teens swapping stories about their lives as they prepare to write their first songs.

Zumix is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) cultural organization dedicated to building community through music and the arts. Located in East Boston, MA, ZUMIX provides top-quality cultural programming as an alternative way for young people to deal with frustration, anger and fear, and as a method of building cultural understanding and acceptance in one of Boston's most diverse neighborhoods.

ZUMIX is located at 202 Maverick Street, just a few blocks from the Maverick Square Subway Station on the Blue Line. East Boston is home to a diverse mix of people from various backgrounds, including Italian, Latin American, African, and Southeast Asian cultures.
