He served on the ZUMIX board for several years (including a stint as board president) and continues to be a valuable friend and partner of ZUMIX. \nSteven is also the leader of Eastie’s own Don’t Be Denied Band\, whose lineup includes several ZUMIX alumni and former staff members. The band focuses on social justice and community and raises money for local charities. Steven is a proud East Boston resident. \nJuan Gutierrez is a graduate of Boston Arts Academy\, Boston University\, and Suffolk University. He is a ZUMIX alum and former staff member who helped plan events\, design programs\, and amplify youth voices in the organization. He is an accomplished bassist and multi-instrumentalist and a founding member of Wild Painting\, a highly successful ZUMIX ensemble. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a ZUMIX Summer Concert featuring local genre-bending artist Eph See! \nThe show will happen rain or shine – if it rains\, we will move to the ZUMIX Firehouse! \nWhen it comes to making music independently\, Boston-born artist Eph See truly shines. Unsigned and unmanaged\, Eph See has built their musical career from the ground up by releasing singles and long-form projects through self-led campaigns and the help of their creative community of friends. Their debut EP\, g*rlhood\, released in October 2021\, landed them features in Lyrical Lemonade and The Fader\, all without the budget or marketing of a label. \nThey are known to float from genre to genre\, oftentimes mixing multiple genres together to create something entirely new. The only rule they have when songwriting?
