SUMMARY:East Boston Latin Music & Dance Festival
DESCRIPTION:In September 2022\, the first annual East Boston Latin Music Festival was held in Bremen Street Park. The brainchild of Senator Lydia Edwards\, it brought together local musicians\, dancers\, and businesses to highlight the strength of our community and celebrate the beauty of our Latin American cultures. The event was a success\, attracting neighbors of all ages and backgrounds for a joyful day of community celebration. \nNow\, Senator Lydia Edwards\, in partnership with ZUMIX\, Veronica Robles Cultural Center (VROCC)\, East Boston Main Streets\, and the City of Boston\, are excited to announce plans for 2023! Building on our success\, this year’s festival will move to a new larger location. It will include more Latin American music and dance\, delicious food\, kids’ activities\, local arts & crafts vendors\, and will provide a welcoming\, family-friendly environment for people of all ages and backgrounds. \nJoin us as we work together to strengthen the community and elevate the rich cultural and creative traditions of East Boston. \nMusicians for this year’s lineup include: \n\nPorque Puma?\nVROCC Youth Dancers\nVeronica Robles Mariachi Band\nSamba Viva\nLa Chusma\nBajucol Folkloric Dancers\nLa Clave Secreta\nSalsa y Control\nEguie Castrillo\n\n
